Gushing out 5200 mAh worth of power and is more than capable of providing me with a complete top off. Snapping firmly around the Pixel 2XL, the NEWDERY battery case offers the ability to charge the Pixel 2XL even while being charged itself. The best part in all this, it does fast charge the Pixel 2 XL.
The battery case itself doesn’t support fast charging. While it does charge your device using fast charge, it will not charge itself in the same manner.
The Soft TPU design of battery case provides a comprehensive shield from scratches, bumps and drops. The USB-C port supports OTG data transfer for easy data-synchronization without having to remove the case.
The operation of the unit is quite simple; White flashing, 75% to 100%, Green flashing 50% to 75%, Blue flashing 25% to 50% and finally Red flashing 0% to 25% of capacity. Pressing the power button for 3 seconds will either turn on or off the case. The battery case will turn itself off when the phone reaches 100%.
I wouldn’t say this is the best portable chargers 2019, but it this is the best I’ve been able to find at a decent price. Just shy of $50 CAD for $49.99 on Amazon Canada.
Amazon does list the item with 3.8 stars out of 5. A lot of the issues stems from a few months worth of use where the battery case dies off. Hopefully, this isn’t the case for the one I have.
