Introduction – Legion Recon Backpack
Finding the right backpack is a hard task, and for this reason, I went with the Legion Recon backpack from Lenovo. Why? I needed room for my tech, my gaming and some clothes! Much like many, I travel to different locations for various reasons.
I always need to carry gear and distract myself while on the road. I also didn’t want to fall in the trends by going with a Peak Design backpack. I wanted to be unique, which seems to be the theme I’m going for in most of my tech choices.
Let’s have a look at all the options Legion Recon Backpack offers any would-be customer. The overall bag is water repellent. The backside pocket allows the ability to store a 15.6″ laptop. It also provides a ventilated back padding with padded shoulder straps for maximum comfort while on the go. On the side, you can add a water bottle while you can also store something different in those side pockets. You also have luggage trolley strap for a more convenient way to travel. The rugged base offers water resistance and more protection.
Storage Options?
Time to check the inside of the bag, where all the magic happens! The Legion Recon is full of storage options, whether your a techie or gamer.
In the main compartment, I’m adding a portable battery that allows me to also connect an AC plug as well as USB-A and Type-C. No need to rely on the need for an outlet near me. There’s an inside strap pocket that lets me store the gimbal securely. I’ve also added a universal cable for lightning, type-c, micro USB. I’ve added a power adapter that gives me a type-c port and 2 USB-A ports. I’m also making use of the wireless mouse that complements the tech and gaming lifestyle.
There’s enough room to include camera and lens kits as well as clothes for about a week.
My laptop and power adapter fits nicely in the back. In the front pocket, I’ve added my earbuds and my portable SSD. I also carry a versatile screwdriver with me as it’s saved my ass a few times. When flying, however, I don’t usually have it. There’s still plenty of room in the front pocket for sunglasses, wallet, keys and ID.
The most important part I didn’t want the backpack to sag in the bottom like so many others. The Legion Recon keeps its form even under load. The slim form factor and the ability to store everything I need is pretty impressive. Often, when you travel, you’re limited in the space you have. I like to make sure I’m maximizing my travel.
Here’s a list of what I’m carrying in this backpack. You might find some interesting items you’d like to get for yourself.

Some Final Notes
If you haven’t already clued in, I’m loving the Legion Recon backpack. I’ve been using it for several days now. Yes, it does hold its shape quite wonderfully. All my gadgets and gear have a defined spot. I achieved the goal I sat with the Legion Recon bag. Carry everything that I may need, be lightweight even with stuff in it. Being unique was also part of that goal, something different than my fellow geeks.
