Computer storage devices are used to store and retrieve digital data and files on a computer. HDD stands for hard disk drive which uses spinning magnetic disks to store data. SSDs or solid-state drives use integrated circuits and have no moving parts, making them faster and less prone to mechanical failure than HDDs. NVMe or Non-Volatile Memory Express is a protocol for accessing high-speed SSDs. Flash drives use flash memory chips and have no moving parts, making them compact and durable removable storage devices that connect via USB ports. All these devices allow permanent or temporary storage, access and transport of digital data.
