Got a new gadget to add to my arsenal of tech things to bring with me; It’s a USB-C, micro USB, USB-A card reader for all my media needs. This is the perfect addon for anyone who may need to use SD cards or micro SD cards. With this, I can connect to my smartphone and get instant access via OTG on a USB-C device or a micro USB device. Perfect as well if you need to use it on your laptop. It’s a great companion to have for photographers.
I think it’s a great utility since many of us have now accumulated many micro SD cards and more so if you do photography. Instead of having a need to connect it to your laptop, you can simply connect it to your smartphone, select the photo or content you need and voilà you have access to do whatever you may need, may this be a document, a photo you want to edit and post. There’s plenty of use that you could make of this.
One of the main things I wanted to see would be the data transfer speeds, I wanted to make sure that regardless of the connection I wanted to use I’d be getting consistent speeds. What was the outcome of that? There’s problem to transfer from any of the 3 possible connection. Copied RAW files and back with other media and I achieved 50mb/s rates when I did.
There you have folks, if you need a card reader that versatile for anything you may have around this is it. Interested in getting yourself one these versatile card readers? You’re in luck, they’re available on eBay.ca for $10.69 CAD. You can come over and check everything that I post with www.androidcoliseum.com.
