What’s an easy upgrade to a gaming pc? One of the few things that you can do is upgrade the memory. A few months ago I completed a medium range gaming build and I opted for the XPG Spectrix D41 memory kit. A decent 16GB of DDR4 ram to work with.
This lead me to be able to play some pretty awesome game! I ended doing a log more than gaming with this rig. I pushed it pretty hard on the multitasking aspect. Nearly 80% of memory used when doing some video edits, photo edits and more.
Looking at my option on the market I wanted to stay in the same line of memory for my rig. Initially looked at Best Buy to see what they had and I was underwhelmed. Next stop was the local Canada Computers. I managed to find what I was looking for $134.99 for the kit at 3000MHz. (There’s a discount that drops it to $119.99 at the moment).
The kit I initially bought features a clock rate of 3200MHz, granted it’s not much of a difference, but I did want the same thing. Looked on Amazon Canada and for the same price $119.99 I found the XPG Spectrix D41 kit with a clock rate of 32000MHz.
At this point, it’s a done deal! Ordered via Amazon. All modules are installed. Giving me a nice 32GB of RAM running at 3200MHz and featuring all the RGB love that I have.
